Orvis stands up for what he believes

I’ve had the great pleasure of working on the Edmonds City Council with David Orvis for eight years. There are a couple of primary reasons why I will be voting for Dave for re-election.

One reason is that Dave has always had a sincere integrity. His work against taller buildings in our downtown core is a good example. Dave holds sincere and honest opinions on this subject and is not afraid to show his strong convictions. He firmly believes that the charm and character of Edmonds is worth fighting for and will do so in the face of opposition. Besides the fact the people of Edmonds agree with him, folks also know that Dave Orvis means what he says and says what he means. He is genuine and honest in his opinions about what is best for Edmonds.

Another reason I will be voting to re-elect Dave Orvis is that he may disagree with you all night at a council meeting, but never lets that public debate become a private one. This ability is a quality in Dave that I admire. He is incredibly good at standing up for what he believes, regardless of going against others, but will never take a political disagreement and carry it into the personal.

That is why the Edmonds Firefighters have endorsed him and why I’ll be voting for Dave Orvis, because he is an honest, fair councilman of conviction.
