MARYSVILLE — Western Washington Medical Group Marysville Family Medicine, part of Western Washington Medical Group, announced that Dr. Susana Escobar has expanded her medical practice and is now taking new patients in integrative medicine. Escobar completed a two-year fellowship in integrative medicine at the University of Arizona.
SEATTLE — Swedish Health Services has named Anthony “Tony” A. Armada chief executive officer, effective Nov. 1. Armada currently serves as president of Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, an academic and research hospital in the Chicago region. The hospital is part of Advocate Health Care, the largest health provider in Illinois.
EVERETT — Carolyn Black has been named the new chief development officer for Providence General Foundation and Providence Regional Medical Center. Black started her new position at Providence General Foundation on Sept. 23. Prior to joining Providence, she was with the University of Washington for more than 11 years as a director for the College of Arts and Sciences.
LYNNWOOD — Group Health Cooperative says that three candidates were elected to three-year terms on the board of trustees at the annual membership meeting on Oct. 5 at the Lynnwood Convention Center. The board members are Susan Byington, Jennifer Joly and Dorothy A. Ruzicki.
MARYSVILLE — Keller Williams Realty Marysville has hired Tonja Wortham as CEO and team leader. Responsible for the success of the North Snohomish County office in Marysville, Wortham will focus on growing the brokers’ businesses and their market center. Wortham most recently served as business development director at Mortgage Advisory Group.
MILL CREEK — Gateway Physical and Hand Therapy recently hired two new physical therapists at the Mill Creek location. Ben Fedewa graduated from Grand Valley State University, where he received a doctorate in physical therapy. Craig Buning also holds a doctorate in physical therapy from Grand Valley State University. He has spent time at several clinics in Illinois and Michigan.
MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — 1st Security Bank has hired Jim Campbell to be a loan officer in the company’s Mountlake Terrace office. Campbell, who grew up on Mercer Island, is a graduate of Seattle Pacific University. He has several years of experience in both the insurance and mortgage industries.
MARYSVILLE — Daryn Bundy has been recognized by Marysville Mayor Jon Nehring as the September Volunteer of the Month. The award was given for serving young people in the city of Marysville. Bundy, owner of Bundy Carpets, serves in a number of leadership positions throughout the city.
EVERETT — Jeri Wilkes, chief financial officer of United Way of Snohomish County, was recently named Finance Officer of the Year by United Way Worldwide at a national conference in Atlanta. Wilkes was nominated for the award because of her leadership in conducting lean training for nonprofits throughout Snohomish County. She has been with the organization for more than 14 years.
MARYSVILLE — The City of Marysville named community development planning assistant Amy Hess as Employee of the Month for September. For the past six years, Hess worked as deputy city clerk in the Finance/Clerk Department. More recently, she was a planning assistant. Hess was recognized in particular for her fill-in work for the Utility Billing Department.
REDMOND — The Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance board has a new chairman, vice chairman and board member. J.C. Hall of Esterline Hytek Finishes was elected chairman. He will replace Kevin Steck of EADS Composites Atlantic. Bob Uptagrafft of Impact Washington was elected vice chairman. Aerospace analyst Michel Merluzeau of G2 Solutions was added as a new board member.
MARYSVILLE — Marysville Care Center, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, has a new executive director, John Hovey. Originally from Bellevue, Hovey earned his degree in economic geography from the University of Washington.
