The South Snohomish County Chamber of Commerce and its Board of Directors have announced the election of Stan Finley, director of franchising and government affairs for Comcast Communications, as Board Chair for the current term. Finley replaced Barbara Earl, who remains actively engaged as an Executive Committee member and co-chair of the Joint Government Affairs Committee. New Port of Everett Commissioner Mark Wolken was recently seated. Wolken, who was elected by the vote of the people in early November, will serve the remaining two years of the District 2 term. Professor Manny Juzon will be teaching an interactive International Business course in a new hybrid format for students attending the Columbia College Marysville Campus. Columbia College is transitioning many courses to the hybrid format, where 50 percent of the course is delivered online and 50 perent is delivered in the traditional in-classroom format.

Gov. Christine Gregoire recently appointed Dr. Julie Miller to serve on the Cascadia Community College Board of Trustees.
