Peoples Bank has announced the promotion of Kandice Herndon from assistant vice president to vice president. Herndon will continue her role as branch manager at the Ballard Financial Center. Herndon has more than 28 years experience in financial services and has been with Peoples Bank for four years. She was named Five Star Wealth Manager/Best in Client Satisfaction by Seattle Magazine in 2009.

Longtime local business owner Mike Leighan was honored as December Volunteer of the Month at the Marysville City Council meeting, a governing board that he served on for 13 years. Marysville Mayor Jon Nehring praised Leighan’s extensive community service contributions. Leighan and his wife Sarah are co-owners of Vinyl Signs &Banners.
