Mill Creek police Thursday, July 9 arrested a 27-year-old Mill Creek man after his family said he’d left home packing an assault rifle, believing “there is a government and law enforcement conspiracy against him,” Mill Creek police said in a prepared statement.

The man lives with his mother, said police commander Lance Davenport.

Police originally responded to a 911 call at about 6:30 p.m. July 8 in the 3900 block of 141st Place Southeast after the man’s family told dispatchers he’d just left the house in a 1997 Saturn sedan, headed possibly for Shoreline or Marysville. He was arrested without incident at his home at about 3:30 p.m.

“There are other things going on here that are still under investigation that may be criminal that we will be looking into, but right now it may be too early to tell,” Davenport said.
