Here are the latest reports from Lynnwood, Brier and Mountlake Terrace police.

June 1

Suspicious circumstances. 23000 block 60th Ave. W. A woman said someone hung a noose from a tree in her front yard. Police said they determined the action wasn’t a hate crime because the woman and her family are Caucasian.

May 31

Commercial burglary. 18000 block 33rd Ave. W., 4:08 a.m. Someone broke into a store and stole cigarettes after damaging a glass display case and water pipes.

Malicious mischief. 18000 block 40th Ave. W., 8:23 a.m. Someone damaged two parked Toyotas.

Smashed windows. 6000 block 208th St. SW., 10:20 a.m. Someone broke the back window of a 2000 Toyota. Earlier in the day, in the 6000 block of 212th St. SW., someone had reported the back window of his Dodge truck smashed.

Malicious mischief. 4000 block 182nd Place SW. 10:01 a.m. A 62-year-old woman said someone smashed her car window with a baseball bat.

May 30

Malicious mischief. 210000 block 54th Ave. W. , 4:30 p.m. A woman said she returned home from shopping and her car was fine. When she walked back outside, she noticed the passenger-side rear tire was flat. She suspected vandalism.

Malicious mischief. 21900 block Old Poplar Way. Two Seattle women said they left items in storage at a residence in Brier with the owner’s permission. The renter then sold items belonging to them without permission. Further investigation found the residence uninhabitable with abandoned dogs and cats inside. The animals were seized and released to animal shelter.

Narcotics violation. 21200 block 38th Pl W. Police arrested a 15-year-old Brier boy on an outstanding warrant, then found he was carrying marijuana. His mother showed officers various marijuana plants the boy’d been harvesting at home. He was booked into jail for the warrant and possession of marijuana.

Malicious mischief. 2600 block of Elm Drive. Two Lynnwood men drove an all terrain vehicle into a marsh area in a local park causing it to become stuck. They then drove a 1997 Ford truck onto the park’s grass to retrieve the ATV, which caused extensive damage to the park.

Lynnwood police responded to 14 domestic violence reports May 15-June 3.
