May 3
Reckless driving. 3500 block of 228th St. SW. Police cited, then released a 17-year-old Seattle man for reckless driving after an officer watched his Acura go 61 mph in a 30 mph zone.
May 1
Warrant service. 2500 block 236th St. SW. Police pulled over a transient for a bicycle infraction and found that he was wanted on a Clark County bench warrant. During a search, police found he’d been carrying a toy cap pistol. He was booked into jail.
April 30
Residential burglary attempt, perhaps. 23000 block of 35th Ave. W. A 54-year-old Brier woman said she saw a man sitting in a red Ford Taurus in her driveway. She confronted the man, who told her he was waiting for his parents to look at the house, which is for sale. She phoned 911 and the officer showed up. The man fled. Police impounded the car.
Threats. 22200 block of Brier Road. A Lynnwood teen said she’d been threatened by other students at her school. Police are investigating.
Suspicious circumstances. 2400 block of Nike Manor Road. A 21-year-old Brier man said he got home and found his front door ajar. Nothing was missing or damaged.
April 29
Burglary attempt. 22000 block of 36th Ave W. A 44-year-old Brier man said someone pried a window screen from his residence in an effort to get inside.
Suspended license. 23600 block of 39th Ave. W. A 29-year-old Kenmore man driving a Jeep Cherokee was stopped for driving through a barricade. When police checked his background, they discovered his license was suspended. They cited him for third-degree driving while license suspended and then released him.
April 28
Assault. 23600 block of Brier Road. A 43-year-old Bothell woman said she was assaulted by a 57-year-old Brier man but chose not to press charges against him.
