Here are the latest reports from Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace and Brier police departments.

Jan. 7

Theft attempt. Roger’s Market, 23120 56th Ave. W., 10:39 a.m. Witnesses say a woman with long, blonde hair attempted to steal a cart full of groceries by knocking on the automated entry doors until they opened. The meat department manager followed her out and yelled at her. She left in a waiting vehicle — without the groceries.

Jan. 6

DUI. 54th Avenue W. and 220th St. SW., 6:31 p.m. Police arrested a 60-year-old Mountlake Terrace man for DUI after witnesses told them they helped push his stranded vehicle off the road, then noticed him staggering around, holding a brown paper sack. The sack contained cans of beer.

Strong-armed robbery. Lakeside Apartments, 66th Avenue W. and 218th St. SW. A 25-year-old Mountlake Terrace woman said she was walking home from her job at Premera Blue Cross when someone tripped her and stole her purse, which contained $320 cash, a check book and her drivers’ license.

Jan. 5

Child found. 23000 block 34th Ave W. A Brier senior citizen said she found a 1 1/2-year-old child wandering in the roadway. The child’s father arrived and told the woman his child had unlocked their residence door and run out without his knowledge. The child was uninjured.

Jan. 1

Drug paraphernalia, traffic. 22800 block, Brier Road. Police cited a 27-year-old Bothell woman for driving while her license was suspended. A vehicle search turned up drug paraphernalia. Police also cited the passenger, 28, of Auburn, because of pending arrest warrants. Both subjects were booked into jail.

Lynnwood police responded to 14 domestic violence-related calls Dec. 31 – Jan. 7.
