Feb. 24
22900 block of 32nd Ave. W. A Brier woman said someone shattered a large picture window at her house after throwing something at it.
Feb. 23
Warrant arrest. 22000 block 66th Ave. W., 11:46 p.m. Police responding to reports of a customer “freaking out” at a casino arrested a 37-year-old Seattle man after a records check showed he was wanted in Snohomish County for kidnapping. The manager told officers the man was intoxicated and disturbed people at the card tables. Police booked the suspect into Snohomish County Jail.
Robber. 4000 block 212th St. SW., 8:15 p.m. A convenience store clerk said a man he described as white, 18-25 years old, 5-feet 9-inches tall and about 160 pounds held him up at knife point and made off on foot with cash.
Feb. 22
Fight. 22000 block 66th Ave. W., 5:10 p.m. Police cited a 24-year old Mountlake Terrace man for assault after a 21-year-old man told them the suspect punched him in the face shortly after the victim and his girlfriend walked into a casino. The suspect said he punched the man because two years earlier, the victim made unwanted advances toward the suspect’s girlfriend.
Smash and grab. 22000 block Lakeview Blvd. A 23-year-old Mountlake Terrace man said someone overnight broke into two cars parked in front of his apartment complex.
Dog on the loose. 216th St. SW and 54th Pl. W., 12:10 p.m. Police responding to reports of a pit bull on the loose helped save a 90-year-old man from being bitten after pushing him into the open door of a house where he is cared for. Police took the dog to ADIX’s Bed and Bath, an Edmonds dog kennel.
Graffiti. Mountlake Terrace High, 21801 44th Ave. W. An employee said someone sprayed graffiti “tags” overnight on the main building, the sidewalk and two outside buildings.
Feb. 21
2200 block 219th Pl. SW. A Brier woman said she heard a loud bang, followed by a knock on her door. She looked out the window and saw a white male running from her residence. Upon opening her door, she found that a sled had been knocked over, a statue to the right of her door was out of place, and there was writing on the wall to the left of the door that contained profanity and threats.
Feb. 20
Brass knuckles. 3600 block 227 St. SW. A Brier man said he found brass knuckles in his backyard that do not belong to him.
Prowl, theft. 3100 block 236th St. SW. A Brier woman said sometime between Feb. 13 and 15, someone prowled her 2005 Honda and stole several items, including her purse and checkbook. Five checks had been fraudulently cashed for a total of $4,800 and approximately $100 charged on her credit and debit cards.
Lynnwood police responded to 11 domestic violence calls Feb. 18-25.
