The following are selected reports from area police departments:

EDMONDS

Sept. 29

Assist outside agency. 23900 block of 84th Avenue West. Lynnwood stolen vehicle found in Edmonds at a repair shop.

Theft. 24100 block of Highway 99. Two females arrested and booked into Snohomish County Jail for theft and obstructing after shoplifting at Burlington Coat Factory. Juvenile male released to parent.

Sept. 27

Traffic. 7400 block of 210th Street Southwest. Suspended driver with outstanding warrant flees inside his residence after attempted traffic stop. Suspect voluntarily exits minutes later and is placed under arrest.

Theft. 21300 block of Highway 99. Vehicle stolen from lot of Magic Toyota.

Fraud. 10600 block of 240th Place Southwest. Victim posted a couch on Craigslist, on the Internet. Buyer sent a $1,900 check with hopes that the victim would cash it and send the difference to an address in California.

Sept. 25

Assist outside agency. 7500 block of 212th Street Southwest. Unoccupied stolen vehicle located in a private drive. Vehicle impounded.

Sept. 24

Theft. 18500 block of 83rd Avenue West. Complainant reported that his vehicle, previously towed as abandoned, was actually stolen.

Burglary. 20000 block of 83rd Avenue West. Burglary of an unoccupied residence.

Burglary. 9300 block of 192nd Place Southwest. Victim’s residence was burglarized and a digital camera and jewelry items were stolen.

Burglary. 7200 block of 224th Street Southwest. Ground-level apartment entered and listed items were stolen.

Theft. 24100 block of Highway 99. On view of subject running from clothing store results in arrest for organized retail theft. Large amount of new items located in suspect’s vehicle.

Sept. 21

Robbery. 7000 block of 212th Street Southwest. Subject presented note at Banner Bank demanding $10,000. Subject last seen running into an apartment complex.

LYNNWOOD/MOUNTLAKE TERRACE

Sept. 27

Malicious mischief. 220th Street Southwest. Police responding to reports of graffiti-making in progress along the Interurban Trail at 220th Street Southwest arrested a 24-year-old Lynnwood man. The man, who had alcohol on his breath and paint-covered hands, was arrested for an outstanding drunken driving warrant and booked into Lynnwood’s municipal jail. He told police the paint was from work he’d done for a day labor company. A second man, 21, was released.

Theft. 24000 block 57th St. SW. A homeowner said he heard a noise two days earlier on the south side of his house. In the back yard, he saw a man jump over his fence and into a neighboring yard. At the fence, he noticed there was an extension cord leading from the house to his property. He said the rental house next door has been used as a flophouse by transients. Code enforcement is investigating the rental house.

Sept. 25

Robbery. O’Houlies, 21919 66th Ave. W., 11:20 p.m. Police responding to reports of a fight spoke to a 28-year-old man with a swollen right eye who told them he’d just finished drinking a pitcher and a half of beer and walked out the tavern’s back door when he was jumped by two men who kicked and punched him on the ground.

Warrant arrest. 21900 block 56th Ave. W., 1 p.m. Police responded to reports of two suspicious guys selling books door-to-door to benefit a school project. A police records check revealed one of the men was wanted on a $10,000 Kentucky warrant. Police arrested him and took him to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

Drug possession. 234th St. SW and 53rd St. W., 2:02 a.m. Police arrested a 36-year-old woman and a 25-year-old woman for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cocaine. One of the woman was also arrested for escaping from Washington Department of Corrections custody.

Sept. 24

Stolen license plates. 22811 Lakeview Drive, 6:30 p.m. A man said someone put license plates on his car that don’t belong to him.

Lynnwood police responded to eight domestic violence calls Sept. 17-24.
