Here are selected reports recently filed by the Edmonds Police Department.
Sept. 6
THEFT. 7000 block of 216th St. SW, reported at 7:52 p.m. A purse with credit cards, ID card and social security card was stolen.
THEFT. 23600 block of Highway 99, 7:07 p.m. A man was arrested for theft and obstruction after shoplifting two 30-pack cases of beer and running from the police.
Sept. 5
HUMANE. 18600 block of 94th Ave. W, 2:30 p.m. A citation for a cat running at large was to be issued by the Edmonds Municipal Court.
THEFT. 23622 Highway 99, 11:13 a.m. A man shoplifted items from Safeway. He was cited and released.
THEFT. 22500 block of Highway 99, 12:38 p.m. A cell phone was stolen from a business’ employee.
ASSAULT. 500 Main St., 1:10 p.m. A complainant reported that an upset elderly man approached a table that was set up at the corner of an intersection and punched her arm. The suspect also pushed her friend and left the scene. The elderly man was located and transported and booked at the Snohomish County Jail for the assault.
MALICIOUS MISCHIEF. 7300 block of Lake Ballinger Way, 12:29 a.m. A moving vehicle had a window broken by an object thrown from the bushes.
Sept. 4
LIQUOR. 9400 block 220th St., 1:29 a.m. A group of subjects were contacted for being in the street. Two were arrested for minor in possession.
