Here are selected reports from the Brier, Mountlake Terrace and Lynnwood police departments.

July 1

Fireworks. 3600 block Alaska Road. A Brier woman said someone lit off fireworks at Abbey View Cemetery near Lost Lake. Suspects were gone when police arrived.

June 30

Dog struck, killed. 23100 block Brier Rd. A 50-year-old Brier man was riding his motorcycle on Brier Road when a dog ran out in front of him and his bike hit the dog. Lynnwood Animal Control arrived at the scene and declared the dog dead.

Kirkland warrant. 23800 block Brier Rd. Police arrested a 20-year-old Brier man for an outstanding warrant from Kirkland after stopping his car when they noticed he wasn’t wearing a seat belt.

June 29

Fraud. 3500 block 223rd St. SW. A Brier man said someone attempted to open a credit card in his name. Another account had been opened on April 3 and had a balance on it.

Assistance. 3300 block 236 St. SW. Police helped a 19-year-old Edmonds woman pull her vehicle from a ditch she had accidentally backed into.

Transformer strike. 23600 block Brier Rd. A 41-year-old Shoreline woman backed her vehicle up and accidentally struck a power transformer box, causing approximately $1,000 damage.

June 27

Possession of marijuana. 21200 block of Poplar Way. Officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from a 2000 Dodge Dakota pickup truck as it passed their patrol car. Police stopped the car and contacted the 18-year-old driver from Shoreline and 18-year-old Lake Forest Park passenger.
