Here are selected reports from the Edmonds Police Department:

On March 9 and 12, two separate incidents involving fraudulent Canadian sweepstakes operations were reported. One victim tried to cash a check sent by the sweepstakes only to learn it was to be used to pay the “taxes” on the “winnings.” The other victim sent a money order to the company to pay the “taxes” on the “winnings.”

March 14

Traffic. 22300 block of Highway. 99. A 21-year-old male was arrested for driving while license suspended (3) and booked on a Mountlake Terrace Police Department warrant.

March 13

Narcotics. 24400 block of Highway 99. A 24-year-old male was arrested for negligent driving and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Assisting other agency. 2900 block of 36th Street, Everett. K9 assist to Everett Police Department in search for a burglary suspect.

March 12

Assisting other agency. W. Marine Drive/Alverson Road, Everett. K9 assist to Everett Police Department in a search for a suspect who fled from a stolen vehicle. Suspect was located then lost in a busy park.

Assisting other agency. 23200 block of Wachusett Road, Woodway. A domestic disturbance between a mother and her daughter was reported. No assault occurred.

Robbery. 23400 block of Highway 99. A suspect who implied possession of a gun robbed a business. It occurred during the day time; no weapon was seen.

Arson. West end of Main Street. A fire was reported in the men’s restroom at Brackett’s Landing on the waterfront.

Burglary. 1000 block of B Avenue. Complainant reported pry marks on garage door and a hole in window screen.

March 11

Theft. 22500 block of Highway 99. The victim’s vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of a strip mall.

March 10

Theft. 24100 block of Highway 99. A man stole a shirt from a clothing-and-housewares store then fled on foot after being confronted by employees. A second male left in a vehicle.
