Here are selected reports from Shoreline Fire Department:

May 21

Shoreline Firefighters responded to 22 calls, 17 of them for medical emergencies.

Firefighters took one woman to Northwest Hospital after a motor vehicle crash at 200th and 3rd NW.

They also responded to two automatic fire alarms, no fire. And one burn complaint.

Shoreline Fire would like to remind residents that recreational fires, cooking fires and patio fireplaces are allowed in the City of Shoreline providing that fire safety requirements are met, smoke does not adversely impact neighbors, and that air quality conditions allow outdoor burning. Burning of trash, yard waste or rubbish is prohibited.

May 20

Shoreline Firefighters responded to 19 calls, 16 of them for medical emergencies. Firefighters were called to a “skateboarder versus car” incident at 185th Street and Aurora Avenue. But when they arrived, the skateboarder reportedly got into the car that hit him, and the driver left the scene.

May 19

Shoreline Firefighters responded to 15 calls, all of them medical emergencies, including two minor motor vehicle crashes with no injuries.

May 18

Shoreline Firefighters responded to 16 calls, all of them for medical emergencies including two minor motor vehicle crashes, one at the COSTCO parking lot on 205th and the other at 165th Street and Fremont.

They also responded to a report of a female who was on the ground at the bus stop at 170th Street and Aurora, suffering from difficulty breathing, fast heart rate and semi consciousness.

May 17

Shoreline Firefighters responded to 19 calls, 17 of them for medical emergencies. Fire crews responded to a home on 147th NE, where a resident extinguished a dryer fire that threatened to extend to other parts of the house.

They also responded to a report of an engine compartment fire on a 16 passenger bus at 158th Street and Meridian Avenue, which turned out to be steam – no fire.

May 16

Shoreline Firefighters responded to 11 calls, 9 of them for medical emergencies.

May 15

Shoreline Firefighters responded to 22 calls, 20 of them for medical emergencies including three minor motor vehicle crashes on Aurora Avenue North, at 192nd, 152nd and 160th streets. They also responded to two commercial automatic fire alarms, with no fire.
