The following items were selected from synopses of Edmonds police reports:
July 3
Suspicious circumstances. 7300 block of 224th St. SW. A report was made that nails have been shot or thrown at an apartment building for the past month.
July 2
Death. 9400 block of High St. An adult son found his father had died of natural causes in his home.
Theft. 21900 block of Highway 99. A man left a box of checks and his wallet at a grocery store while having lunch at an unspecified date in May. The checks were subsequently forged.
Theft. 15600 block of 72nd Ave. W. Stolen mail was found by the victim’s neighbor.
Theft. 6800 block of 157th Pl. SW. An unknown person opened someone’s mailbox and rummaged through the mail.
Vehicle Prowl. 16200 block of 70th Pl. W. Unknown persons pried open the driver’s side door of a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a residence. Nothing was reported stolen from the vehicle.
Theft. 7200 block of 164th Pl. SW. Someone stole several music CDs and tapes from a vehicle that was parked in front of a residence.
Vehicle recovery. 16200 block of 72nd Ave. W. A stolen vehicle was found abandoned with stolen property inside. An investigation is continuing.
July 1
Burglary. 8600 block of 236th St. SW. An open garage was entered and someone stole a cell phone from an unlocked vehicle. No suspect information was available.
DUI. 24000 block of Highway 99. A traffic stop of a speeding vehicle resulted in the arrest of a someone for driving under the influence. The person was booked into the Lynnwood jail.
