The following is a selection of police incidents which occurred in the past week in the cities of Lynnwood and/or Mountlake Terrace.

April 6

Commercial burglary. 6000 block of 244th St. SW. An employee at a local motel reported unknown persons were breaking into the laundry room and stealing the money from the machines. Police are still investigating.

April 5

Malicious mischief. 5000 block of 240th St. SW. A man reported unknown persons had shattered his sliding glass door.

April 2

Car theft. 20100 block of 48th Ave. W. Someone reported unknown persons stole their vehicle from the Park and Ride lot.

Car prowl. 3000 block of 184th St. SW. Someone reported their vehicle was broken into while parked at the Alderwood Mall. A video camera, compact discs and tools were stolen.

March 31

Found property. 18900 block of 68th Ave. W. A cellular phone and pager were found at a Lynnwood park. For more information call the Lynnwood Police Department at 425-744-6900.

April 7

Assist other agency. 22400 block Woodway Park Road, Woodway. Kids toilet papered a friend’s house and yard.

April 6

Burglary. 22100 block Highway 99. An unknown suspect tried to cut a hole in a glass door. Entry was not gained.

Theft. 3400 block 76th Ave. W. Someone entered an unlocked vehicle and pried a stereo from the dash.

Theft. 23800 block Highway 99. A vehicle was broken into while parked in a business parking lot. Entry was gained by a window being broken. The loss was estimated at $18,500.

April 5

Suspicious circumstances. 300 block Erben Drive. A 21-year-old man was found parked and sleeping in his car in a wooded area of City Park.

Theft. 10100 block 240th Place SW. A vehicle was entered and a CD player stolen.

Theft. 7200 220th Street SW. A vehicle containing a dog was stolen from the parking lot of an amusement center. No information on suspects was reported.

Arson. 9300 block 192nd Pl. SW. A mailbox was set on fire by someone using a newspaper. The mailbox was valued at $45.

Theft. 600 block Elm Street. Someone broke out the window of a vehicle and stole a CD player. The loss was estimated at $650.

Malicious mischief. 23500 block Highway 99. The window of a mobile home was broken by a thrown rock.

Arson. 18700 block 94th Ave. W. A mailbox was set on fire with a newspaper, causing $50 damage. No information on suspects was reported.

Malicious mischief. 400 block Admiral Way. A window in a vehicle was broken by unknown persons. Nothing was stolen.

April 4

Arson. 1500 block Ninth Ave. N. A paper box was set on fire. No information on suspects was reported.

April 3

Disturbance. 100 block Fifth Ave. S. A parking complaint escalated into a verbal and then physical altercation. The case was sent to the city prosecutor for review and possible charges.

Theft. 23000 block 100th Ave. W. Someone called to report a plate tamper had been stolen from a construction site.

March 25

Auto theft. 200 block of NE 174th St. A vehicle was reported taken from the yard.

Prowl. 16500 block of Fifth Ave. NE. A window of a vehicle in the apartment parking lot was reported broken.

Larceny. 2100 block of N. 155th St. A stereo was reported stolen from a vehicle.

March 24

Controlled substance. 17500 block of Meridian Ave. N. Police approached a vehicle that had apparently broken down and found two people inside smoking marijuana and in possession of heroin.

Auto theft. 17900 block of 23rd Ave. NE A maroon 1984 Buick LeSabre was reported stolen.

Auto theft. 18300 block of 24th Ave. NE. A vehicle was reported taken from the driveway.

March 23

Larceny. 15800 block of 11th Ave. NE. A vehicle window was broken and items taken.

March 22

Attempted auto theft. 14800 block of Whitman Ave. N. In an apartment parking lot, the victim reported finding the vehicle door open, the steering column ripped open and tampering with the ignition.

Fraud. 20000 block of Ballinger Way NE. A business reported 35 checks had been passed on a closed account.

Residential burglary. 1500 block of NE 147th St. Guitars and CDs reported taken with a access apparently through and unlocked window.

Hit and run. 18400 block of Ballinger Way NE. A vehicle went off the road and smashed a street sign. The driver fled but was later arrested and charged with DUI.

Prowl/theft. 14800 block of Bothell Way NE. A window in a vehicle was broken and the stereo taken.

March 21

Vandalism. 19500 block of 14th Ave. NE . A vehicle window was found broken apparently by a golf club with the club head and part of a broken shaft still in the vehicle.

Vandalism. 500 block of N. 172nd St. The victim reported a vehicle in the driveway “keyed.”

Malicious mischief. 18500 block of 37th Ave. NE. Graffiti spray painted on wall at school.

Prowl/Theft. 3200 block of NE 198th Pl. A vehicle was reported broken into and an interlock device stolen.

March 31

Ordinance violation. 100 block Third Ave. S. A report was received of a woman selling door-to-door in Woodway. She was contacted in Edmonds, given a copy of city regulations and told not to peddle again until she complied.

March 30

Malicious mischief. 9300 block 244th Street SW. A 13-year-old boy was referred to the Denney Youth Center for slashing the tire on a neighbor’s vehicle.

Malicious mischief. 9400 block 244th Street SW. An unknown suspect damaged a parked vehicle by breaking out the rear window.

Animal. 17000 block 67th Ave. W. A 9-year-old child was bitten by a neighborhood dog.

Theft. 400 block Fifth Ave. S. An unknown suspect stole an American flag.

March 29

Ordinance violation. 600 block Maple St. A peddler was cited and released for selling without a permit.

Liquor. 21000 block 96th Ave. W. An 18-year-old man was cited for consuming alcohol and furnishing a location for minors to consume alcohol.

Noise. 9600 block 236th Street SW. The resident of a home was contacted and the landlord notified of an ongoing complaint of noise coming from the home.

March 28

Dumping. 100 block Fifth Ave. S. Trash bags were illegally dumped in a business dumpster.

Burglary. 8600 block Olympic View Drive. A home under construction was burglarized.

Theft. 23600 block Highway 99. A woman stole items from a grocery store.

Theft. 7300 block 224th Street SW. A vehicle was broken into and a CD player stolen.

Malicious mischief. 23700 block 104th Street SW. A wall at a school was sprayed with graffiti and three trash containers were burned.

Suspicious circumstances. 19200 block 84th Ave. W. An unknown vehicle ran into a resident’s trash cans.

Malicious mischief. 8400 block 188th Street SW. Graffiti was reported at an elementary school.

March 27

Burglary. 9300 block 236th Street SW. A window was missing at a school. A TV stand was moved but nothing else was missing.
