Here are select reports from the Shoreline and Lake Forest Park police departments.
Oct. 2
Missing person. 19000 32nd Ave. NE. A 16-year-old teen with a history of running away left her parents’ house. Her parents said she has snuck out before but always returns before they wake up. Teen returned home later.
Theft. 18900 Lago Pl. NE. A briefcase was taken from a vehicle parked in an open garage. The homeowner returned to the garage and found his car door open with his wallet and briefcase missing.
Burglary. 18700 23rd Ave. NE. Victim said his garage door was forced open. Items were strewn around but it was unknown if anything had been taken.
Suspicious circumstances. 19200 Forest Park Dr. NE. A vehicle was parked in an unusual spot but was not blocking traffic on private property. A note on the vehicle read, “This is not Compton, we do not park in the grass.” A large rock was moved to block the vehicle from backing out. Officers advised the caller to contact the homeowner’s association to tow the car.
Fourth degree assault. 1100 N. 192nd St. Victim was hit in the right shoulder by her boyfriend.
Burglary. 15200 6th Ave. NE. Unknown suspect(s) took a drill and money from an unlocked car in a garage.
Larceny. 15800 Westminster. Victim realized her wallet was stolen on her way home from work. Most likely stolen while she conducted interviews for her job.
Marijuana possession. 16000 block of 25th Ave. NE. A person was caught sitting at the park with a 4-foot bong and marijuana in his car.
Oct. 3
Larceny. 15500 Aurora Ave. N. Suspects ran into convenience store and stole beer.
Child neglect. 1500 NE 177th St. A grandma was concerned about her 3-month-old granddaughter. The infant’s mother smokes OxyContin and meth in front of the baby and forges checks.
Larceny. 15200 Aurora Ave. N. A man tried to steal a bottle of gin by smuggling it in his pants.
Disturbance. 4600 NE 175th St. A 15-year-old female got into a verbal fight with her father. The female was yelling and cursing at her sister when the father said to stop or else she would lose her cell phone. The daughter did not stop. Daughter yelled and cursed at her father before receiving parental discipline. Daughter called 911 as retaliation. No evidence of DV assault.
Oct. 6
Missing person. 10600 Evanston Ave. N. An adult male with autism was reported missing from his group home.
