Police help get birds out of chimney

Here are selected reports from Shoreline and Lake Forest Park police:

Sept. 23

DUI. NE 175th St. and 10th Ave. NE. A person was arrested for drinking and driving.

Robbery. 1100 block N. 205th St. Someone tried to steal a DVD and fought with a loss prevention officer when confronted.

Burglary. 15800 block 28th Ave. MNE. A renter forced entry into a locked fenced are and damaged property.

Sept. 22

Animal. 19600 block 47th Ave. NE. A pit bull was seen chasing after other dogs in a park. The dog was given to King County Animal Control staff.

Suspicious circumstance. 3300 block NE 182nd St. A child was found sitting in a roadway while waiting for his mother to pick him up. Both mother and son thought it was not a problem to be sitting in traffic on a dark street.

Forgery checks. 14800 block Densmore Ave. A suspect sent an invalid check for a generator purchased on Craigslist.

Sept. 21

Animal. 4700 block NE 193rd St. A respondent called police for help with getting a bird out of a chimney.

Sept. 20

Suspicious circumstance. 16700 block 37th Ave. NE. A respondent reported a rotten smell coming from a sewer.

Assault. 300 block NE 148th St. A subject slapped his girlfriend in the head and broke her television.

Assault. 100 block NE. 147th St. A suspect caused a victim pain by holding her arms down for 10 minutes on a bed before leaving.

Sept. 19

Suspicious circumstance. 17100 block Bothell Way NE. A suspicious male who “could not stand still or stop fidgeting entered a restaurant, ordered a sandwich and made it obvious he was carrying a knife but committed no crime.

Suspicious circumstances. 16900 block 4th Ave. NE. A father reported unusual behavior from his daughter who he feared was molested by a resident of a group home.

Vandalism. 1700 block NW 193rd St. A vehicle was scratched with a key.

Larceny. 15500 block Palatine Ave. NE. A victim’s purse was removed from her vehicle.

Sept. 18.

Vandalism. 19900 block Ballinger Way. Unknown suspect pried open a window and broke the glass.
