EDMONDS

Drew Johnson was often seen walking his dogs around the Firdale Village Apartment Complex, 9501 244th St. SW, where he lived with his dogs Apollo and Bruno.

Almost daily, Johnson, 51, would make trips to Seattle and often would walk Apollo around Green Lake.

Now, homicide detectives want to talk to anyone who knew Johnson or may have seen him Monday morning, April 27.

Police believe the Edmonds man was shot in his head sometime between late Monday morning and when his body was found around 3:30 p.m. April 27.

“Edmonds police investigators are working this case diligently and are requesting the assistance of the public,” Sgt. Don Anderson said.

“If you knew Drew Eugene Johnson, saw or met with him on or around the day of his murder, or if you have information about this investigation, please call the Edmonds police department,” Anderson said.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner has ruled the death a homicide.

Detectives found enough evidence at the scene to determine the killing was not random, Anderson said. The public is not at risk.

Few details about the investigation have been released. Apollo and Bruno are being cared for, Anderson said.
