Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Olympic Ballet Theatre will present its annual Beaux Arts Celebration and Auction at the Lynnwood Convention Center at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15.
Wine and dinner will be followed by a live auction. An evening highlight will feature entertainment with the Olympic Ballet dancers.
In anticipation of this silver anniversary season, the artistic staff and Board of Directors plan to honor the dance company’s alumni over the years and the boosters who made a difference in the growth of the Olympic Ballet.
The Auction is the primary source of funding for the company’s performances, which include annual productions of “The Nutcracker” and “Peter and the Wolf,” as well as new works this season by artistic director Helen Wilkins and associate artistic director Daniel Wilkins.
Proceeds from the event benefit scholarships, annual awards programs supporting young dancers needing financial assistance, providing merit honorariums, and partially funding attendance at the Regional Dance America/Pacific Festival. The Festival is an annual event where dancers from the Pacific Region study and perform together. Beaux Arts also offers financial support for dancers who wish to continue their classes and training with OBT.
The auction will offer many items to bid on including trips, get-a-ways, jewelry, gift certificates, a tree trimmed with ballet ornaments, and creative basket items.
For more information on attending the Auction, donating an item, or volunteering, contact the Olympic Ballet Theatre office at 425-774-7570.
