Drivers in Mill Creek can expect some lane closures and delays as crews repave city streets, part of the city of Mill Creek’s annual street maintenance program.
This upcoming week, repaving work will take place on three streets:
• Village Green Drive between the Huckleberry neighborhood and Heron Park;
• 136th Street SE between the Bothell-Everett Highway and Jackson High School; and
• All of 138th Street.
Public works director Doug Jacobson said residents on affected streets should be aware that there will be times during repaving work that they will not be able to get to their homes or leave their homes.
Such closures will be limited to a half-hour or so, Jacobson said. All affected residents are being notified by the city about the closures and when they are expected to take place.
During construction, traffic will be restricted to one lane on each road. Flaggers will be on site to guide drivers through work areas. All work is taking place during the day.
Crews began prep work on all three streets earlier this week.
