Shoreline Community College continues its Faculty Piano Series with its second recital of the year, “Romantic Kaleidoscope” at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30 in the Campus Theater. A reception will follow.

The recital will feature the extravagant and rarely performed set of variations, “Hexameron,” and some favorites by Brahms, Chopin, Liszt, Schumann and others. Performances will be made by music faculty members Helena Azevedo, Jensina Byington, Iwona Kaminska-Bowlby, Christopher Bowlby, Tamara Friedman, Nancy Matesky and Dainius Vaicekonis.

The piano series presents unique programs of solo and duo repertoire, featuring works that stylistically cover the history of European and American art music. The last two recitals of the year are scheduled for April 10 and April 24.

General admission is $10, $8 for seniors and college students with college ID, and $4 for children 14 and younger and SCC students with college ID. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 206-546-4606 or at the Cashier’s Office in the FOSS Building or at the door. Shoreline is located at 16101 Greenwood Ave. N., west of Aurora Ave. and just north of Seattle city limits.
