The Mill Creek Rotary Club recently donated $20,000 to Operation Homefront Washington to acquire laptop computers to be used by wounded service men and women as they recover from injuries sustained in the war in Iraq.
The funds were raised through the annual Mill Creek Auction which also rose over $9,000 to provide free wheelchairs to handicapped people in Latin America. Operation Homefront Washington thanked the Mill Creek Rotary Club for being the first to help on this project.
The Mill Creek Rotary Club meets on Wednesdays for lunch at the Mill Creek Country Club. For more information, call 206-898-2218.
