As part of the Shoreline Arts Festival June 23, the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council will be presenting the Missoula Children’s Theatre production of “Cinderella.” School age children are invited to audition for the show from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, June 18 in the Senior Center at the south end of the Shoreline Center.

Approximately 55-60 local students in grades K through 12 will be cast to appear in the show with the MCT Actor/Director.

Students wishing to audition must arrive by 3:45 p.m. to register, then plan to stay for the entire two-hour audition. Due to space limitations “actors only” will be allowed into the audition room. Parents may wait in the lobby. Doors will be closed for the auditions at 4:02 p.m.

No advance preparation is necessary and the audition is free. All students cast, except for assistant directors, will be charged a participants fee of $25 for Shoreline/Lake Forest Park residents, $30 for non-residents. This fee is payable at the audition. Some partial scholarships are available, but must be applied for in advance. Call 206-417-4645 if you plan to audition and would need financial assistance if cast.

Rehearsals will be conducted at the Shoreline Center every day from 4 to 8:30 p.m. the week leading up to the production. Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have a clear schedule at those times for the entire week and be able to attend any rehearsals for their role. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the conclusion of the audition.

Cast members scheduled for the full 4 1/2 hours in one day will be asked to bring a sack supper or snack. The first rehearsal for a few cast members begins in the south end of the Shoreline Center approximately 30 minutes after the audition and pizza will be provided for that day.
