LYNNWOOD — A man was taken to a hospital May 30 after shooting himself in the groin area.
Medics were summoned about noon to Lowe’s Home Improvement store in the 3100 block of 196th Street SW, according to the Lynnwood Fire Department.
The man was injured when a gun he was carrying unsecured in the waistband of his sweatpants discharged, apparently by accident. He was wounded in the testicles and also in his leg and foot. Nobody else in the store was hurt.
Edmonds juvenile reports robbery
A 15-year-old Edmonds resident arranged to meet with a man whom he had traded iPods with from the week prior. Disappointed with the device, the victim requested to trade back. The two agreed to meet May 17 in a parking lot in the 22800 block of 100th Ave. W. The victim was accompanied by his mother.
The suspect approached the victim and attacked him, striking him in the face and kicking him once he fell to the ground. The suspect robbed the victim, taking his backpack and the iPod. The suspect and accompanying individuals then fled the parking lot in two separate vehicles. The victim was transported by aid car to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

May 29: Assault. 3300 block 184th St. SW. Employeers were shoving each other.
May 29; Theft. 18700 block Alderwood Mall parkway. A woman was arrested for shoplifting.
May 28: Noise. 19500 block Hwy. 99. A report of a disturbance in reference to a guitar.

May 30: Assist. 23500 block 54th Ave. W. A vehicle was parked in the middle of the road blocking traffic. A female was straddling the male driver and told officers she knew their actions were inappropriate.
May 29: Theft from auto. 6000 block 244th St. SW. A man reported his car stereo, CDs and mp3 player were stolen from his unlocked vehicle while parked at the Cinebarre.
May 29: Theft from auto. 1500 block 177th St. NE. A man reported his car window was broken and his Tom Tom GPS was stolen while parked at the Studio 6 apartment complex.
May 29: Domestic. 22200 block 67th Pl. W. Male and female roommates argued about their living arrangement.
May 28: Theft from building. 22400 block 70th Ave. W. An employee’s laptop was stolen from the front of the building while several employees were working in the back rooms.

May 27: Motor vehicle accident. 168th Street and Hwy 99. The medical team responded to an overturned asphalt truck and multi-car accident with injuries. The injured were transported to Stevens Hospital and Harborview Medical Center for evaluation.
May 27: Good intent call. 20600 block 44th Ave. W. The fire crew was dispatched to a fire alarm at Embassy Suites. They were met at the front desk by an employee that stated there were people stuck in the elevator. The elevator was stuck about 1 foot above the first floor. The fire crew was able to make their way to the top of the elevator and was able to open the door and let the people out.
May 26: Motor vehicle accident. 176th Street SW and 56th Avenue W. The medical team responded to a motor vehicle accident with no injuries.
May 24: Motor vehicle accident. 200th Street SW and 48th Avenue W. The medical team responded to a two-car rear end non-injury accident.
May 24: Pedestrian struck by car. 208th Street SW and Hwy 99. The medical team responded to a pedestrian hit by car.
May 24: Passenger vehicle fire. 19000 block Hwy 99. The fire crew was dispatched to a tow truck on fire at Shannon Towing.

May 26: Collision. Ninth Avenue S and Fir Street. A pickup truck crashed into a parked car in Edmonds. Firefighters took one patient to Stevens Hospital.
May 24: Fire. 14900 block Hwy 99. Firefighters responded to a Dumpster fire at a restaurant north of Lynnwood.
May 24: Collision. 164th St. and Meadowdale Road. A woman on a bicycle collided with a car. Firefighters transported her to Providence Everett Medical Center.
May 24: Collision. 236th St. SW and 58th Ave. W. Firefighters took one patient to Stevens Hospital after responding to a two-car collision in Mountlake Terrace.
