Presentation of the colors will be by Boy Scout Troop No. 312, led by Scout Master Keith Porter, and all five branches of the armed forces will be represented, both onstage and in the audience.
The band and choir will perform four pieces together including the Lee Greenwood piece, “God Bless the USA,” “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” John Phillip Sousa’s “The Stars and Stripes Forever,” the anthem “And Wherever You Go,” Patriotic songs such as “God Bless America” and “America the Beautiful” will be performed by the Sno-King Chorale, and “American Folk Rhapsody Number Three” and “Stars and Stripes Forever” will be performed by the Shoreline Concert Band.
A medley of theme songs from all armed services will also be performed. As each branch’s theme is announced, anyone in the audience who has served in that branch will be invited to stand during the performance of their theme. Other choral works will be presented and the Shoreline Band will also perform several instrumental selections.
Proceeds from the performance will go to student scholarships.
