I am writing to commend you on your review of the Shoreline Community College production of “The Runner Stumbles”! (“SCC’s ‘Runner’ doesn’t stumble,” Dec. 10.) I was surprisingly impressed by both the acting and the story itself! The characters showed a lot of emotion in each role. I did feel that you overlooked the role of Toby Felker played by Dave Beresford. It was a fresh breath of air to have a laugh through out the play and I feel that he added a certain spark that would have been missing! With all dramatic reproductions, it is easy to get lost in the story… the story is always serious and that was a very deep subject. I was relieved to be able to laugh! I found that his character made me sit up straight and I found myself anticipating his next move! Other than that, you were spot on!
