While both Everett School Board president Karen Madsen and board member Sue Cooper will run for reelection Nov. 4, they might not have any competition.

No one else had officially filed with the Snohomish County Auditor for a position on the Everett School Board by the Enterprise deadline on Tuesday, July 29.

The final filing date for those interested is today, Friday, Aug. 1.

Both incumbents have served on the board for many years. Cooper has been a member for 19 years and Madsen since 1997. Both are residents of Everett.
