New boundaries OK’d for district
The Everett School Board approved new boundaries for six of the district’s elementary schools at its Nov. 14 board meeting. The attendance boundaries for Cedar Wood, Mill Creek, Penny Creek, Silver Firs, Silver Lake and Woodside will change in September 2007.
The boundary recommendation the board adopted is the same one the boundary committee recommended this fall.
The boundaries were changed because a new elementary school, Elementary 17, is being built next to Gateway Middle School to relieve overcrowding in the south end of the district where population is growing the fastest.
