High grades recognized
Shoreline resident Garrett J. A. Flowers was named to Whitworth College’s Laureate Society for spring semester 2005. To qualify for this honor, students must maintain at least a 3.75 grade-point average. Whitworth is in Spokane, Wash.
Meghan Marie Haggerty of Shoreline was named to Gonzaga University’s president’s list for earning a 3.7 or better grade-point average during spring semester. Gonzaga University is in Spokane, Wash.
Washington State University’s spring president’s honor roll recognized Lake Forest Park resident Ian Noel Love and Shoreline residents Sara Lyn Cadwallader, Alisha Marie Eastman, Marcus Benjamin Glade, Andrew Stephen Jensen, Katherine Anne Justice, Kathryn Ashford Luenella, Angelica Salome Macklin, Charles Christopher Maier, Leah Sara March, Midori Saito, Amanda Caroline Smith, Frances Ann Strosahl, Yu-Chia Wang, Laura Danielle Weigel and Joseph Scott Wyatt. To be eligible for the honor roll, students must earn a 3.75 grade-point average for the semester or have maintained a 3.5 cumulative GPA.
Music academy auditions
The Academy of Music Northwest offers chamber music performance and music studies program for children, ages 3 through 20 years. The 2005-06 programs start in September.
Register now for fall auditions and placements in classical chamber music performance and music studies for children ages 3-10, open enrollment and placement; and pre-college musicians, ages 11-20, by audition and placement.

Shorecrest class of ‘85 celebrates
The class of 1985 from Shorecrest High School is celebrating its 20th anniversary this summer during two events. The first takes place from 7-11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13 at Safeco Field – First Base Terrace, and alumni and family are invited to bring a picnic from noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Orchards at St. Edward State Park in Juanita/Kenmore. Shorecrest class of 1995 reunion
Shorecrest High School’s class of 1995 is hosting its 10-year reunion from 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12 at the Shilshole Bay Beach Club, at 6413 Seaview Ave. NW. in Ballard. The cost per person is $84 (if registered before July 5), $94 (if registered between July 6 and Aug. 9) or $104 at the door. Appetizers, dinner and a celebration with old friends supplied. There will also be a no-host cash bar, and attire is evening casual.
A family potluck/barbecue will follow from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 14 at Mathews Beach, NE 93rd and Sandpoint Way NE.

Shoreline Community College offers seven sessions of hands-on technology programs this summer for students between the ages of 9 and 17 throughout July and August.
