Cascadia launches bilingual program

Beginning on March 29, Cascadia Community College will offer a program targeted at Spanish-English bilingual workers. It’s called Via Nueva, and it’s a two-quarter program involving advanced ESL combined with business and office technology.

The Business Information Technology component of the program will include self-paced courses to introduce students to basic computing and applications. Students will prepare to take the MOUS certification exams in word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel) and databases (Access).

The ESL component will include interacting with colleagues and customers, productive teamwork and collaboration, presentations, budgets, and communicating on the telephone and in letters and memos.

Contact Cascadia Community College, at 425-352-8525, for information.
