AMHS represented at national meeting
The principal of Archbishop Thomas J. Murphy High School, Dr. Kristine Brynildsen-Smith, was among a select group of 106 participants who met in Dallas from Jan. 13-17 for an interdepartmental planning convocation to draft a strategic plan for the National Catholic Educational Association.
The group established goals, drafted strategies to achieve the goals and established measurable signs to review and refine the strategic planning document before it is presented for the approval of the association’s board of directors at the 2005 annual convention in Philadelphia in March.
“I was honored to be invited to represent Catholic secondary schools in Washington, Alaska, Oregon, Idaho and Montana,” Dr. Brynildsen-Smith said. “It was a daunting but life-giving task to set the direction for such an encompassing association.”
