SCS student’s poetry showcased

Jane Minifie, a senior at Shoreline Christian School, has been selected as one of 20 students to have her poem posted on Metro buses around the Puget Sound area. In early November, more than 1,800 poems were submitted to be considered for the 2005 edition of Poetry on Buses.

Minifie’s poem, “Rust,” will be posted on buses by early April and will be featured for up to one year. She is the third person from Shoreline Christian in the last three years to be selected for this honor. The 2005 edition of Poetry on Buses is themed “Self Portrait.”
