Spaghetti feed at Lynnwood High
Lynnwood High School is sponsoring its first homecoming spaghetti feast. It will take place from 2-5 p.m. on Dec. 11 in the commons at Lynnwood High. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased in the ASB office or $10 at the door. The Olive Garden is sponsoring the event and will be serving breadsticks, salad and spaghetti.
Students inducted to Nat’l Honor Roll
Many local students were inducted into the spring 2004 National Honor Roll. This program recognizes high-achieving high school and middle school students, and inducted students are then eligible for scholarships and awards through the program.

K-5 Challenge testing scheduled
Challenge testing for the 2005-06 school year for current Edmonds School District kindergarten through fifth-grade students will be at each student’s home school Jan. 11-25. Referral forms are available at school offices or at the reception desk in the Edmonds School District Educational Service Center, 20420 68th Ave. W in Lynnwood. Forms are due to the Highly Capable office by Jan. 10.
Kindergarten through fifth grade students attending private school or home school will be tested Saturday, Jan. 15 or 22. Call 425-670-7157 to set an appointment for your student.
The Edmonds School District Challenge Program for elementary students is a self-contained full-time program located at Terrace Park K-8 School in Mountlake Terrace for students who have been assessed and can demonstrate superior intellectual ability, advanced levels of academic achievement and/or display unusual creative ability.
Scholarships for students available
Edmonds Arts Commission scholarship applications are now available and must be completed by March 1. These scholarships will go to outstanding students in the literary and performing arts who intend to pursue post-secondary study in theater, creative writing, dance, instrumental or vocal music.
Applicants must have an Edmonds address, be at least 17 years old and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. A total of $3,000 is available this year with no more than $2,000 being awarded to any one applicant. Call 425-771-0228 or e-mail chapin@ci.edmonds.wa.us for more information.
