Next district superintendent

roundtable Oct. 3

Dates have been set for Superintendent’s Round Tables at the Edmonds School District. At the meetings, superintendent Nick Brossoit presents information on a topic, hears questions and comments.

Cookies, water and coffee are provided. All meetings are held at the Educational Services Center, 20420 68th Ave. W, Lynnwood, and are on Wednesdays at noon unless otherwise indicated.

The next meeting is from 7-8 p.m. Oct. 3.

Subsequent meetings are at noon Feb. 6, March 5, Nov. 7, April 9, Dec. 5, Jan. 9 and June 4.

A meeting will be held 7-8 p.m May 7.

EdCC hires HR Associate Director

Cathie Agor is the Associate Director of Recruitment and Retention, a new position in the Human Resources Department at Edmonds Community College. She will work to connect the community to jobs at the college, including faculty, staff and administrative positions. Her emphasis is identifying and attracting diverse members of the work force to the college.

For nearly seven years, Agor worked in the Human Resources Division of Seattle Public Utilities for the city of Seattle. In addition, she has more than 20 years experience as a criminal defense, civil rights and labor relations attorney, including serving as Assistant General Counsel for Labor Relations for the Seattle School District.

Agor graduated from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1972 after earning her bachelor’s degree in speech communication at the University of Hawaii.
