Schools calendar coming
Families of students in the Edmonds School District will be receiving their 2004-05 District Calendar and Parent Handbook via postal mail beginning Monday, August 30. Edmonds School District Staff can expect their calendars beginning Monday, August 23.
All families registered within the district before August 10 can expect to receive a calendar and parent handbook.
The calendar contains information on school start and release times, snow closure and late start procedures, school district program phone numbers and more information that pertains to the rest of the school year.
There also is a simplified version of the calendar available online at http://www.edmonds.wednet.edu/0405calendar.htm.
‘64 reunion planned
Mountlake Terrace High School will host its 40-year reunion for the class of 1964 at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, September 11 at the Mill Creek Country Club. Cost:$35 per person.

Girl Scouts recognized
Girl Scout Troop 341 of Maplewood School in Edmonds recently received an honorable mention award for its community service entry in the Colgate-Palmolive Youth for America Community Service Campaign.
The 21 girls worked on developing an unused corner in Perrinville into a blossoming garden.
