Back to school event for families
The Shoreline School District is helping families get ready for the school year by having a back-to-school event scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27 at the locations of its co-sponsors, The Works (16516 10th Ave. NE) and the Center for Human Services (17018 15th Ave. NE).
The Works will be offering school clothing, school supplies, hygiene supplies and basic clothing for children.
The Center for Human Services Shoreline Family Support Center will be offering free haircuts, food, and face painting crafts and games.
There will be a shuttle bus provided by the Shoreline School District between the two sites for Shoreline District families. Shuttle vouchers are available at both sites.

University of Washington Undergraduate Scholar Award Recipients for the 2004-05 school year are the following: Michael Hanes, Lake Forest Park, UW Early Entrance Program; Eric Orth, Shoreline; Jeff Echert, Shoreline; Kevin Feiser, Shoreline.
Nathan Hale Class of ‘79 Reunion
The Nathan Hale Class of ‘79 25th Reunion is scheduled 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at the Woodinville Red Hook. Cost is $15 per person .
