Meridian Park receives grant
From a pool of nearly 1,000 applicants, Meridian Park Elementary was selected as one of 10 recipients for the General Mills program named Box Tops for Education’s Parental Involvement in Education. Meridian Park received the $2,000 grant for its Family Math Nights. This grant, written by staff and PTSA volunteers, calls for Meridian Park teachers to teach parents current math curriculum and for parents to then develop math practice games to be used to support math at home.

Drew Delgado, of Meridian Park Elementary, was also recognized for his high performance in the WASL test.
History Day competition
Three sophomores from Shorewood High School will travel to Maryland to compete at the national level for History Day June 12-17.
