Mill Creeks girls

earn scholarships

Western Washington University has awarded two local students scholarships for the 2004-2005 school year.

Freshman Jennifer Teresa Litz has been awarded a $500 President’s Scholarship. She attended Henry M. Jackson High School where she earned a 3.66 grade point average and was a National Hispanic Recognition Scholar and a member of the National Honor Society. She plans to study music.

Freshman Christine Malia Mineart has been awarded a $1,500 President’s Scholarship which is awarded to the top 8 to 10 percent of the incoming freshmen class and is based on superior academic achievement. She attended Henry M. Jackson High School where she earned a 3.88 grade point average and was a member of the National Honor Society. She plans to study communications.
