Student art is on display
The Everett Public Schools Foundation is hosting an art show highlighting artwork created by students at Jackson, Cascade, Everett and Sequoia high schools.
Art pieces are on display from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. now through May 13 at the Everett Educational Services Center, located at 4730 Colby Ave. in Everett. For more information, call the foundation at 425-385-5270.
ATM students earn top spots in math
Members of the math team from Archbishop Murphy High School recently took two first-place awards in the statewide high school Math Tournament in Yakima.
Steve Alkire, Peter Sadowski and Justin Ryan took first in the Division II Team Problem and the Division II Topical Problems Competition.
Summer school registration
Summer school opportunities in the Everett School District are now open for registration. Forms are available at district schools. Tuition-based, onsite and online programs are available for elementary, middle and high school age students and community members.

Celebrate women, health at EvCC
Everett Community College’s Nursing Department will host, in conjunction with Positive Women’s Network, the second annual “Girls to Grandmothers: Everett’s Premier Women’s Wellness Festival” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at the new Everett Station, located on 3201 Smith Avenue, one block south of Pacific.
The free event is open to the public and includes nine different health screenings, massage, demonstrations on self-defense, entertainment and music, officials said.

Bust fad diet myths at EvCC
Everett Community College will host a lecture on the truths and myths of fad diets from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 27 in the Parks conference Room ABC on campus. The free event is open to the community and is supported by the student activities health and wellness program.
