Scheduling tests is now easier at SCC

Shoreline Community College students no longer need to call ahead the college’s Testing Services department to schedule an appointment for ASSET, GED and COMPASS tests. A new brochure has been printed with the times testing services are available and explains that students need only to come 30 minutes to an hour before the test time to sign up for the test (first come, first served). Proctored tests also will be given for distance learning and WAOL. The brochure is available online at http://success.shoreline.edu/shoreline/TestingServicesGeneralInformation.pdf. For more information, call Judy Borrow at 206-546-4608.

Correction

The Westside Pan Jam, a steel drum band concert, is scheduled to perform at 7:30 p.m. April 2 in the Spartan gym at the Shoreline Center, 18560 First Ave. NE. A grant, written by local Shorewood High school senior Catlin Scott, has allowed for world-renowned pan artist Tom Miller of Pan Ramajay to come and play in the community concert. The concert will feature the steel drum bands of Shorewood, Einstein and Parkwood schools and will spotlight Miller as a guest soloist. The Shoreline Lake Forest Park Arts Council and The Shoreline Foundation helped in funding this project. A school brief in the March 12 edition of The Enterprise contained incorrect information.
