Belly dancing
The Shaia Tribe Wild Tribal Belly Dance will be performing at a benefit to raise money for the Room Nine Program at 8 p.m. (the auction begins at 6 p.m.) Sat., March 29 at the Shoreline Community Center Main Campus “PUB,” 16101 Greenwood Avenue N. in Shoreline.
The auction will raise money to pay for environmental camp, attendance to The Seattle Children’s Theatre and other local arts programs, special guest speakers, and additional classroom supplies.

Foundation invites public to lunch
The Shoreline Public Schools Foundation invites the community to join them at the Annual Community Breakfast &Luncheon, “Banking on Education.” Breakfast will be held from 7 to 8:30 a.m. and Luncheon will be offered noon to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2003 in the Shoreline Room of the Shoreline Center, 18560 First Ave. NE, Shoreline. SCC internship coordinator hired
Dennis Williams was recently hired at Shoreline Community College as Internship Coordinator. Williams brings many years of experience to his job. He has taught Business Management and set up an internship program at Northwest College in Wyoming for 15 years, counseled native entrepreneurs at reservations across the western U.S., taught Business Management in China for a year and worked as a freelance writer and as an intern for NBC News.
Math Olympiad winners correction
There was an error in the March 14 edition of School Briefs regarding the 2003 Math Olympiad.
There was a tie for first place in the fourth grade Team Event at the Shoreline Math Olympiad, and one team was not mentioned in the winner list. The missing team is Meridian Park team 4-3; Rich Ramsey, Tori Lewis, Spencer Ward and Mackenzie Bang.Â
