UW-B nursing students scholars

Thuy Nguyen and Melanie Winters have been selected as 2003 recipients of a deTornyay Undergraduate Nursing Scholarship. The students are part of a select group of eight Healthy Aging Scholars chosen from the three University of Washington undergraduate nursing programs at Bothell, Tacoma and Seattle.

Northshore Intl. Program night

Northshore School Districts International Baccalaureate Program (IB) will hold an information night for parents and students at 7 p.m. on Feb. 6 at Inglemoor High School’s theatre, 15500 Simonds Rd. NE., Kenmore.

Raging Weasels win competition

The Everett Community College “Raging Weasels” Engineering Club placed fourth in the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) national engineering design graphics competition last summer in Montreal. The club’s design of “Frisbee Launcher” was seen while it was in development last spring.

Team members included Jonathan Corey, Barry Kiel, and Larry Shoenberger. All winners received a copy of SolidWorks software as a prize.

Jet City Improv comes to EvCC

Everett Community College Student Activities Special Events and Jet City Improvisational Comedy Theatre are giving two performances at 11 a.m. and at noon on Tuesday, Feb. 4, in the Multipurpose Room, located in the Parks Student Union.

This program is suitable for all ages.

Jet City Improv is a Seattle-based improvisational comedy show. The improvised scenes, games, and musical numbers are all based on suggestions provided by the audience.
