Radio program to feature HT nurse

Kimi Reiner, nurse at Highland Terrace Elementary and nurse facilitator for the Shoreline School District, will be the guest on “Patient Power” at 8 a.m. Sunday, May 6, on the radio station KVI 570 AM.

Reiner will discuss the role nurses play in schools. Patient Power is a weekly show hosted by Andrew Schorr, an 11-year leukemia survivor, patient educator and patient advocate. Patient Power takes questions from callers and Internet listeners: Call in live at 206-421-5757 or 888-312-5757.

Astronomy Night at Shorecrest HS

Shorecrest High School’s astronomy class will host Astronomy Night from 7-9 p.m. Monday, May 7, in the Shorecrest cafeteria. There will be an inflatable planetarium, a guest speaker and several activities and exhibits created by Shorecrest students.

Activities will include scavenger hunts, Make A Constellation, and if the weather is nice, an outdoor viewing.
