The first edition of the Edmonds School District’s new quarterly newsletter is available and has been mailed to all residents, businesses and community members within the district’s 35-square-mile boundaries.

Seventy percent of the district’s residents do not have children in school so this newsletter will keep them informed of the district’s activities.

The publication has several goals, including to continue to build a close relationship with all of the communities the district serves, to show and explain student learning in math, reading and writing and to provide updates on how the current capital levy, passed by voters in May 2004, is affecting student learning.

For more information, comments, suggestions or additional copies of the first issue, contact Debbie Jakala in community relations at 425-670-7044 or at jakalad@edmonds.wednet.edu.
