Decorative pottery, garden art and bells are just a few of the hundreds of one of a kind artworks, both functional and decorative, available at the Sculptors Workshop annual spring sale Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10.
In conjunction with the Mothers Day weekend sale, the arts group is hosting their annual gallery show Entitled “Got Dots?” This exhibit will open in the Edmonds Arts Festival Museum at the Frances Anderson Center May 5 and continue through June 3.
Dots, presumably present for quite some time, became common on clothing and as design elements in the late 19th century. Whether you regard them as childish or good fun, playful or in poor taste, hopelessly retro or exhibiting an archetypal timelessness; their prevalence and thus popularity is utterly undeniable.
This show is a representative collection of “dot” interpretation by members of the Sculptors Workshop. Imaginative and diverse in nature, this annual showing of creating “outside the box” is delightfully playful and fun.
