The Northwest Nationals Shamrocks U-16 premier league girls soccer team stepped up an age bracket and won the Baker Blast soccer tournament June 29 in Bellingham.
The Lynnwood-based team defeated the Whatcom County Rangers 1-0 in the championship game. Kat Robertson scored the lone goal at the 50-minute mark. Goalkeeper Courtney Porter allowed only one goal in five games.
