Painter Evelyn Sheffer is the featured artist for the month of March at the Lynnwood Library Gallery. See her art now through April 27.
Originally from Eastern Canada, Evelyn Sheffer has split much of her life between the corporate world and the art world. Like many people, her dream of being an artist had to be put on hold while she took on a more traditional career choice.
After many years in the corporate field, Evelyn rekindled her love for art and was able to devote her life entirely to her paintings. “I discovered the beauty of watercolor and my interest in art was alive again.” She currently works in acrylics and watercolors and has recently added collage to her pieces. She studies art along side many other local artists and has exhibited her work in several venues in Washington and California.
Free to the public, the Lynnwood Library Gallery showcases local and regional artists on both the amateur and professional level. The gallery is inside the Lynnwood Library, located at 19200 44th Avenue W. in Lynnwood. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
