Shorewood junior Kim Shin followed up a sensational regular season by earning medalist honors in the first of two Western Conference 4A South Division girls golf tournaments last week.
Shin scored 74 Stableford points at the April 30 match at Legion Memorial Golf Course to finish four points ahead of Kamiak’s Rachel Casselman.
The 10 South Division teams were scheduled to meet again on Wednesday at Walter Hall to determine the final league standings. Each team sends five golfers to next week’s Northwest District 4A tournament.
The top 40 finishers (plus ties) from the opening round of districts May 12 at Skagit Golf and Country Club advance to the final round May 15 at Useless Bay.
