‘Shop n’ Nosh’ at SAC Gallery

‘Tis the season for finding that perfect gift for friends, family members — or for yourself — and the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council’s ” Holiday Shop ’ Nosh” event on Dec. 7 is designed to offer just that.

The event will showcase a large selection of pottery, textiles, original paintings, blown glass, photography, jewelry and distinctive home decorative items by Pacific Northwest artists. Refreshments will be served, and a special wine reception takes place from 5 to 7 p.m.

New to this year’s event are ceramics by Tom Kemmish &Emily Rose, glass jewelry and décor by Elaine Iodice, hand painted mirrors by Stan Chraminski, polymer doll necklaces by Cheryl Simmons, garden stakes by Tami Johnson and silver jewelry by Cats Eye Creations.

Returning favorites include Nancy Charlton (scanner art), Kaynor Arts (Chinese symbol hangings), Stacy Frost (glass earrings), Judy Reese (polymer clay jewelry), Gary Georger (ceramics), Eric Hall (handmade lamps), Jeanette Alexander (piano CDs), Rebecca DeVere (mosaic décor), Theresa Novion (decorative glass bowls, plates and wall pieces), Ellen Miffitt (precious metal clay pendants ), Katherine Holzknecht (concrete cast leaves in all sizes), Richard Armstrong (garden art), Dick Foley &Terry Lauber (“Sing It Again” CDs) and Krista Forsyth Fisher (polymer boxes).

Handmade cards by local artists and photographers will also be available.

During your shopping expedition the SAC invites you to view the current gallery exhibit, “Renew Your Spirit,” which features paintings and drawings by Ron Farrell, photography on “stone” by Darel Grothaus, B&W photography by Ron Hammond and ceramics by Denny Sargent.
